Intern Program

We are now accepting applications for our 2012 program.

Isis is a dynamic company that offers a team-oriented, highly participative work environment. Internship opportunities are offered in various fields, such as Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Process Chemistry, Oligonucleotide Manufacturing, Pharmaceutics, Toxicology, and Pharmacokinetics. Students work under a practicing professional who provides guidance and mentorship during the internship program.

  • Travel/housing assistance available for eligible, out-of-area college interns

Requirements:

College Intern:

  • MUST have a High School Diploma or GED
  • MUST be currently enrolled in a U.S. Scientific Undergraduate Degree Program and not graduating prior to the completion of the Isis internship
  • MUST be able to begin internship between 5/29/2012 and 6/11/2012
  • Able and willing to commit to a minimum 40 hour work week and work through 8/17/2012
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and with others
  • Organized, self starter with good problem-solving skills

High School Intern:

  • MUST be at least 16 years of age PRIOR to the start of the internship
  • MUST be a current San Diego County resident
  • MUST be currently enrolled in a San Diego County public or private High School and not graduating prior to the completion of the Isis internship
  • MUST have successfully completed (Grade C or better) at least one year of high school chemistry and/or biology
  • MUST be able to begin internship between 5/29/2012 and 6/11/2012
  • Able and willing to commit to a 40 hour work week (day) and work through 8/17/2012
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and with others
  • Organized, self starter with good problem-solving skills
